6 T. butter
1 C. self rising flour
3/4 C. sugar
1 1/2 T. cocoa powder
1/2 C. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 C. sugar
1/4 C. cocoa powder
1 1/2 C. boiling water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in an 8x8 baking dish while the oven preheats. Stir together the flour, 3/4 C. sugar, 1 1/2 T. cocoa. Stir in milk and vanilla till smooth. Spoon this mixture over the melted butter. Stir together the remaining cup of sugar and 1/4 C. cocoa powder. Sprinkle over the batter mixture. Slowly pour the boiling water over the top of the mixture. Bake for 30 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
